Hello!
What a beautiful Michigan fall! Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who have contributed their time this summer and fall for park clean ups, trail building, invasive species removal and other special projects! If you would like to help out during the October "Kent County Parks Annual Fall Clean Event", there are opportunities at Millennium Park on Saturday, October 27 and at Townsend Park on Sunday, October 28.  Contact park.volunteers@kentcountymi.gov for more information!

Park and Trail Stewards are needed at various Kent County Parks. With over 40 county park sites covering almost 7000 acres, there is an opportunity to choose a project activity according to your interests and the needs of the County Parks. Trail clean ups, invasive species removal or special projects are available. For this opportunity, please contact Volunteer Services for more information! Times are flexible and tools are supplied! 

Invasive Species Mapping/Cataloging Project – Do you have knowledge of invasive species? If the answer is yes, we can use your help! KCP Volunteer Services is conducting an Invasive Species study which will assist in the control and removal of invasives threatening our County Parks. Choose a county park location near you. Materials and supplies are provided and times are flexible. 

And be sure to watch for the "L.E. Kaufman Golf Course Volunteer Kick Off Event" date in March of 2013!  This golf course clean up event is the spring "kick off" for Volunteer Services, and includes the opportunity to find out about 2013 projects and events; meet other Kent County Park volunteers; and have a grill out lunch at the golf course!  Date and times will be determined depending on our March snow cover!
