Foundation Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer at the Parks Foundation!

The Kent County Parks Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building, expanding, and sustaining Kent County parks. The foundation raises funds to help the Kent County Parks Department carry out its mission which is to enhance the quality of life in Kent County by establishing and maintaining outstanding parks to meet the needs of the county’s growing population.

We currently need volunteers for the following:

Office
Assist with writing and designing of brochures, flyers, and pamphlets, as well as thank you letters to donors and annual appeal letters. Enter information into database to help create and maintain a paperless office. Answer calls for the foundation office and carry out other general office duties.

Photography
Take pictures at Kent County Parks to be published online and in print materials.

Events
Help plan and facilitate events at the parks. Greet park visitors, answer questions about the foundation, and handout literature and promotional items at events in the parks.

Time Commitment: Flexible. Foundation office is open 7am-3pm.
Location: Grand Rapids (Waters Building)
